Arsenal host Aston Villa in today’s Premier League action.

After winning in the Europa League, Arsenal will return to Premier League protocol as they host Aston Villa, who have had an overall good start to the season. Here are the three main talking points ahead of the game.

Both teams are full of confidence

And rightly so. While Aston Villa may have lost their two previous games, the fans know they are capable of more. They have made some giant killings, quite literally by beating Liverpool 7-2 and by beating Leicester City in the following match. Supporters will hope they can use this match against Arsenal to regain form.

Although, Arsenal are also going through a good patch of form and have started the season well. In the most recent Premier League match, they broke the big six hoodoo by beating Manchester United away from home, again demonstrating their immense progress under Arteta.

That said, this match will make for a great viewing for the neutral fan. As an Arsenal fan, though, I do fear hosting Aston Villa. While I am confident, as I oftentimes am at home, I appreciate that the Clarets are not the kind of team to be underestimated. It’s going to be end-to-end, for sure.
