1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This one is no secret. He may have scored against Manchester United, but fans have been growing frustrated with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s performances for some time now. In fact, ever since he put pen to paper at the Emirates Stadium, he has not been playing the same.

The Gabon international is known to be prolific, but he simply hasn’t been lately. This must change after the international break.

It’s not like he hasn’t been getting chances either, although in fairness, the chances he has been getting haven’t been as promising as they were. Perhaps this is a consistent problem through Arsenal’s attack, since all three players that first sprung to mind when planning this piece were attackers.

Whether Arteta undergoes a system change after this break or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts playing through the middle again, fans want to see more from the Gabonese. After all, he is certainly capable of producing more.

Arsenal’s next game after this break is against Leeds United. Much like Aston Villa were, they are not the kind of team to be underestimated. Arteta will drill this into his players, and he will expect to see better performances from these three in particular.
