Kai Havertz

Chelsea fans will eagerly await the lineup for one player in particular, Kai Havertz. The Germany international missed the last two games before the international break due to his Coronavirus self-isolation.

Now that his deed is done, he seems available for selection against Newcastle. If his social media activity is anything to go by, then he is doing a good job at keeping his fitness levels up before this clash. It’s yet to be seen whether Lampard will immerse him slowly back into club football, but I see no reason for him not to start this match.

N’Golo Kante

There’s no denying, Chelsea will need a defensive element to their midfield and there is nobody greater to provide this than N’Golo Kante. The French midfielder started in the previous match and I assume he will retain his place in this match, too. As rumours linking him with a move to Inter Milan heat up, he will only be focused on performing to best of his ability for Chelsea. The fans love him for that.

Mason Mount

Mason Mount had a busy international schedule (which is to be expected, since Southgate is known to have a preference over him). However, he will be excited to return to club football.

Mount is consistently great for Chelsea and it’s for this reason that his name is one of the first on the team sheet. He will be looking to provide either a goal or an assist to please the fans and his manager more.
