Manchester United surprisingly still want to sign England starlet
By Kian Long
Manchester United haven’t given up their hopes.
All in all, Manchester United didn’t have a terrible summer. They strengthened their attack and their midfield, the two main positions which needed addressing. However, this doesn’t mean the start to their season has been any good.
In fact, I would argue it’s been quite the opposite. They have severely underperformed this season and are currently sitting 14th in the Premier League standings. That said, you can understand why fans are getting worried, and the board are looking ahead to January.
Well, it would seem that the Red Devils will use the upcoming transfer window to fix an error they made in the summer, by signing Jadon Sancho. According to a report from 90min, Manchester United remain interested to sign the England international before next year’s Euros.

Of course, the current Borussia Dortmund forward has hopes to be a sure starter in the international tournament. Playing for a couple of months in England, while partnering with some of his international colleagues, will serve him well.
Sancho is known as one of the best young players in the world, as he often is in and amongst the goals. This is one of the reasons why Manchester United wish to sign him, due to his sheer talisman abilities.
United signed Edinson Cavani in the summer and while he may have gotten his first goal, he doesn’t look to be a long-term solution for the club. Marcus Rashford needs another young player in the squad so he can build a legacy with him; Sancho being the perfect option for this.
Of course, Manchester United are yet to sort out their managerial situation too. In my opinion, it’s time they sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and brought in Mauricio Pochettino, which would make Old Trafford a more attractive destination for Sancho, given Poch’s experience with young players.
