Arsenal should be looking at their options for January.

Arsenal’s midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is an incredible player, there is no denying this. He has been preforming well on loan and especially recently on international duty with the French youth team. While Mikel Arteta will be keeping an eye on this, he won’t have high hopes.

Of course, Guendouzi was somewhat isolated from the Arsenal lineup due to his poor disciplinary record. Arteta simply doesn’t want this in his side as he cannot afford the risk of playing Guendouzi, despite his immense talents. It’s a shame.

It’s thought that Mikel Arteta is already planning a strategy for the January transfer window, as he has lined up one potential signing. I know, right? Arteta is planning for the new year before most of us have even bought our Christmas presents.

More from Arsenal FC

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are looking into the option of signing Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg. The Hungarian midfielder has a release clause of just £23m and currently ages at 20 years old.

Szoboszlai is looking to become an incredible midfielder and if his performances this season are anything to go by, he’s on the right track. He is one of the better young players in the Champions League, already scoring twice in the competition, including against Atletico Madrid.

The Hungary international has a killer presence in the final third and he prides himself on his ability to dribble with the ball at his feet. He has a great pass up his sleeve too, which would make him ideal for Arsenal in the midfield.

Should the Gunners choose to not sign Dani Ceballos permanently and let go of Matteo Guendouzi, he would be the perfect replacement for both of them. He is a versatile player and given his age, could easily be moulded into a new role.
