It was not the best of displays from Arsenal.

Arsenal faced a visit to Elland Road to face Leeds United this afternoon. It is a stadium that has served the Gunners well in the past. But this time out, it was very different.

The Gunners suffered a 0-0 draw, which going into the match, would have been a lacklustre result. But Leeds outplayed them that much, that a goalless draw looked like a good result for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Admittedly, they weren’t helped by a second half red card for Nicolas Pepe following a moment of reckless behaviour from the Ivorian. Arteta clearly wasn’t happy about this, but is there anything to be happy about? Let’s take a look at the individual players’ performances…

Bernd Leno – 9/10

Leno was absolutely terrific between the sticks today. In many ways, he is the reason why Arsenal didn’t concede at least three goals. It was always bound to be hard defending against this Leeds United side, but having Leno in goal certainly helped the confidence for the defenders in front of him.

He was certainly my man of the match, although that wasn’t hard to achieve given the standards set by the others.
