Paul Pogba
The Frenchman will likely have full fitness in time for this match, unless something happens in training, of course. I expect him to return to the XI on an occasion like this, at the expense of Nemanja Matic who played the full ninety against Southampton. This means Pogba will need to be defensive disciplined, although he will have help from his midfield counterparts and there will be chances for him to burst forward as he pleases.
Fred
That help will come mainly in the shape of Fred, who has been in mixed form lately. He will hope that this is one of his good matches, because when he wants it, he can oftentimes be the most pivotal player on the pitch for the Red Devils.
Donny Van De Beek
Manchester United fans would have been delighted to see their midfield signing back in action against Southampton and I expect him to get another runout in the Champions League. He is becoming a pivotal member to the midfield as he often likes to get forward and contribute to attacking play.
Bruno Fernandes
This man needs no help, but he will take any he can get. I am convinced he could orchestrate and perform an entire musical all by himself. He’s that good.
Having got a goal to kickstart the comeback at the weekend, the Portugal international will be keen to provide another memorable night in the Champions League. And I wouldn’t put it past him, either.
