According to Daily Star, Chelsea have their eyes set on Austrian defender David Alaba – who is set to be out of contract in the next summer transfer window.

Despite winning the UEFA Champions League the German giants couldn’t keep hold of their midfield maestro Thiago Alcantara – who joined Liverpool FC in recent transfer window.

It looks very likely that Bayern Munich centre-back David Alaba could be the next player to leave the Bavarians in search of a new footballing journey.

The 28 year old has been reportedly offered a new three-year contract to join the Stamford Bridge in either January transfer window or else on a free transfer for next summer signing.

The German champions have failed to convince David Alaba about the extension offer and are now set to lose him next month for a bargain fee or on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Liverpool FC and Juventus will be considering David Alaba as their priority for next year with both the European giants set to compete with UCL holders for the world class defender’s signing.

David Alaba is reportedly expecting the Blues to be offering a four-year deal worth at least £14million per year, which could still turnout to be a gem of a signing despite of huge wage demands.

Chelsea FC have already signed up Thiago Silva on a free transfer recent transfer window, despite the shaky start the former PSG veteran turned out to be a shrimp signing this season.
