Arsenal didn’t have the best performance against Tottenham.

Arsenal came up against an in-form Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur. Whenever they play against a Jose Mourinho team they are often the underdogs, but Mikel Arteta hoped to break this hoodoo on his second attempt.

It wasn’t to be, though. Early on, the Gunners were caught on the counter-attack and Heung-Min Son scored a cracking goal, before going on to assist Harry Kane who hit the crossbar before going in.

The annoying thing for Arsenal, though, is that they played pretty well, particularly in the second half. They just couldn’t seem to break down the resilient Spurs defence. But, let’s reflect on the performances of the individual…

Bernd Leno – 5/10

Positioning was not great for the Son goal. This meant that he could not pull off one of his infamous acrobatic saves, although he cannot be faulted for the second goal. He was caught at the half-way line for some of the touches, so this shows Leno was doing all he could to help his side push forward and for a recovery goal or two. Still, he’ll feel hard done by to concede two against the fierce rivals.
