Kieran Tierney – 4/10

Tierney rarely steps a foot wrong and I am often his biggest admirer. However, he wasn’t the best out there today. It looked like he just kept being beaten and playing as a centre back for some of the game definitely didn’t help. He would have liked to play further forward and out wide for the full ninety.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 5/10

Gabriel was okay. He wasn’t really at fault for either of the goals and he pushed forward at the end to try and help his side recover something from the game. Still, it takes two to defend, so he should have tried a little harder to make amends for Holding’s errors.

Rob Holding – 3/10

Certainly could have done better to defend against the first goal. He stood off Heung-Min Son for far too long and allowed the Spurs attacker to whip a goal into the far corner. He also wasn’t great for the second goal either. It just seemed like the Englishman was not in the mood to challenge or even carry out his role as a defender.
