Willian – 3/10

Pretty much non-existent. That’s how I would describe Willian’s performance. I said going into this game that Nelson should start ahead of the Brazilian and coming out of this game, I don’t know why Arteta didn’t go for that option. Willian did nothing of note throughout the whole game and ruined some of the attacks.

Alexandre Lacazette – 5/10

The only Arsenal attacker that actually looked like threatening the goal. Lacazette would often have the ball at his feet and if there was no better option, would take on the shot. Unfortunately he was matched by a Hugo Lloris in top form and a resilient Spurs defence, but you can’t knock the Frenchman for trying at least.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 3/10

Like Willian, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would have been better off on the sub bench, and I say that as a huge fan of his. It’s frustrating to see him in such bad form because we all know what he is capable of on top of his game.

Still, Auba is his own harshest critic and playing a game like he did today while his competitors Son and Kane were loving life will inspire him to make an even greater comeback. Fans will hope so anyway, as they need him in top form.

Sub: Dani Ceballos – 5/10

Played the whole second half and helped the Gunners to move forward, although this was largely helped by Tottenham dropping back after going two ahead. Vintage Mourinho.

Sub: Eddie Nketiah – N/A

Couldn’t really do much with the time he was given, so I can’t give him a rating. Although, he did make some promising movements off the ball.

What did you make of Arsenal’s performance?
