Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang needs to pick up form for Arsenal.

It’s no secret that Arsenal have been struggling to score goals in recent games. In the Premier League especially, their two main talisman have not been hitting full form. In fact, ever since signing a new contract, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks like a completely different player, and it’s much worse.

But I know that the Gabon international will not be defeated for long. He is the biggest believer in his own quality and talent, something which he inherited from his great father who was also a footballer of his time. He is surrounded by an amazing support network, but he has work to do to get the club he captains back to where they want to be.

Here are three things that would see the Gabonese striker back to top form…

Playing through the middle

It’s no secret that Auba’s at his best when he is playing where he’s most comfortable; through the middle of a front three. This is not an easy promise for Arteta to make, of course; Lacazette would also like to play through the middle.

But to improve the form of Aubameyang, the first thing Arteta needs to do is to play him as the central striker. Yes, he has made do with playing out wide and he can easily cut inside from this position, but he would get into better positions when he starts through the middle. He will naturally drift out wide at times, anyway.
