It’s about time, Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has almost certainly turned into a media pawn in recent years. It seems like any headline with his name in is desirable for tabloids in the UK. Whether it be berating his new haircut or linking him with a move away, there never seems to be much comment on his actual footballing ability, which there is plenty of.

Any Manchester United fan will tell you just how great he is when he’s playing, as he is oftentimes the most important player on the pitch. But if we’re being honest, over the last few seasons, it seems like Pogba is playing on thin ice, as it’s always looked like he’s been playing for a move away.

I mean, obviously I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. Much like you, I am simply a fan of the game. But that’s enough to tell that Old Trafford isn’t the place for him, and I’m certain Pogba will see this too.

More from Manchester United

According to a new report from the Sunday Mirror, Pogba could finally get his wishes come true. It’s thought that Manchester United have accepted their fate and will sell Pogba in the summer transfer window, as they’ve accepted now that he doesn’t wish to play at Old Trafford anymore.

So, finally, as neutral fans, we can breathe. Paul Pogba is an amazing player but it’s been getting quite boring to see all this transfer speculation with no real direction. That said, I hope Manchester United can find the perfect suitor for his exploits, because Pogba could certainly live up to the golden boy status he was granted when he first signed for United. Let’s not forget, he is a World Cup winner, after all.
