I don’t think anyone can deny when Thomas Partey is fit, Elneny will turn into a backup option to come on from the bench. But this is by no means a bad thing. While Partey is a great player, this doesn’t take away from Elneny’s quality.
He always has his head focused on the task that’s in front of him and he rarely complains about the minutes he’s given. Having a player that’s willing to prove his worth whenever he’s given the chance is important as far as Arteta is concerned.
Therefore, Mohamed Elneny is almost certainly worth keeping.
