It’s a completely different story to Saturday when this fixture occurred for the first time at St Mary’s this season, where Arsenal were knocked out of the FA cup by the Saints. But the tables turned and Arsenal continued their impressive run of form in the league with a brilliant performance against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side who also put in a good performance, making it five wins and a draw in their last six

Here are some of the main talking points from the game from an Arsenal perspective…

1. What will Bukayo Saka do next for Arsenal?

Youngster and now regular starter Bukayo Saka has impressed yet again out on the pitch and this time he has grabbed a goal and assist for the first time in a Premier League game.

The 19-year old was on hand to set up Alexandre Lacazette for Arsenal’s third goal of the night and also found the back of the net himself when Saints keeper Alex McCarthy came out to try and get a hold of the ball, only for Saka to run past and have a free net to slot the ball into.

The Hale End boy has brilliant composure in front of goal at such a young age and having the ability to read the ball without having to take multiple touches is something which he has grasped brilliantly.

He continues to improve and impress every time he’s out on the pitch and now has more goals than the rest of the young players in the Premier League combined.

His pace down the wings is so vital to team performances and he’s always putting in crosses into the box for other players to hopefully get contact with, which is really important when it comes to creating chances in front of goal.

He’s a truly remarkable prospect for the future of Arsenal and a key part of Arteta’s plans going forward.
