MARCOS ALONSO
A scorer in the last match, Marcos Alonso is looking to prove to the new Chelsea boss why he is worthy of starting. It’ll be a wing-back role for the Spaniard in this one.
N’GOLO KANTE
N’Golo Kante has been sorely misused in the last couple of seasons but things look hopeful for him under Tuchel. Expect to see the Frenchman in his favoured defensive role.
MATEO KOVACIC
Chelsea will need a strong midfield which is why I believe Mount will be dropped to the bench. Kovacic will need to keep his game face on, which I’m sure he will. The Tottenham midfield are no pushovers.
REECE JAMES
While it could easily be Callum Hudson-Odoi that comes into the starting XI, I think James is the safest option for Tuchel. Chelsea will get their attacking element from Marcos Alonso, but James should try to remain as defensively disciplined as possible.
