Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have been involved in a transfer tussle for as long as I can remember. Obviously, that’s just me overexaggerating as per, for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar is still only young and will probably grow to be the best player in the world some day.

I must say, from a neutral perspective I can understand why Real Madrid are still looking to sign Kylian Mbappe. Their signing of Eden Hazard has not proven to be not a fruitful one and if anything he is only beginning to hinder the Los Blancos.

Mbappe has been the focal point of much transfer speculation and you can understand why. The likes of Manchester City have also been interested in acquiring his services, but it’s always hard to deter a player away from a financial powerhouse, given that players are just money-motivated humans at the end of the day.

Real Madrid will have to wait to sign Kylian Mbappe

More from Real Madrid

According to a new report from AS, Mbappe is close to signing a new deal with PSG which will see him at the club for at least another few years before Real Madrid inevitably swoop in to try and sign him.

In many ways, for Real Madrid fans this can be considered a blessing in disguise. While they will inevitably wish to sign him as soon as they possibly can, waiting another few seaons will only lead to him getting better and better at the Parc des Princes.

Besides, this only goes to show the admiration and desire that Mbappe has to the cause. He set out a challenge that he wishes to win the Champions League with PSG and this is a quota that he is still yet to achieve, having already won the World Cup at international level with France.
