Manchester United are undergoing a serious transiiton under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the board are trusting him through the bad times in order to build back up to superclub status. If anyone knows what it takes to be an Old Trafford great, it’s one of their most firesome talisman of all time.

Solskjaer has a lot of passion for the club and you can see this through his work behind the scenes. The board appear to be putting a lot of trust in him by investing in the transfer window, as was shown by their impressive summer deadline day.

According to a report from The Sun, the Red Devils are monitoring Federico Valverde of Real Madrid. The 22-year-old has burst onto the scene over the last few seasons but could be looking to make something of hismelf outside of the football capital and instead in the best league in the world.

Federico Valverde makes perfect sense for Manchester United

More from Manchester United

Manchester United pride themselves on their midfield and the ability to build play from this position is key to Solskjaer’s philosophy, therefore he requires as much talent in this position as possible.

With Paul Pogba seemingly on his way out of Manchester United, as has looked the case for the last number of years, this could be perfect for Real Madrid as they could include Valverde as part of a potential swap deal. Therefore, it would be a win-win for all parties involved.

Valverde is an excellent carrier of the ball and in many ways similar to Pogba. He is able to defend when need be but prides himself on his box-to-box antics. That said, the United attackers wqould benefit from his involvement and creativity. All in all, a perfect transfer in my eyes.
