#3 Diego Carlos (Sevilla)

Given that stat about them not conceding a goal in 7 successive games, it should come as no surprise that another Sevilla defender features on this list.

Diego Carlos was signed along with Kounde in 2019, and quickly formed a rock solid partnership with the Frenchman. Yet another success story by their in-house transfer guru Monchi, Sevilla signed the 27-year-old for a paltry €15 million.

While not that tall himself (6’1″), the Brazilian’s impressive physicality makes him a good fit alongside Kounde. He is also deceptively fast, and good at covering ground to gain on opposition attackers.

Carlos’ aggressive playing style would be tailor-made for the Premier League, and unlike most other players listed here, he is a center back hitting the peak of his abilities at the moment. With Manchester United already having impressive youngsters in Axel Tuanzebe and Teden Mengi rising through the ranks, perhaps signing a ready-made option like Carlos might not be the worst idea.

There are already other European giants sniffing around him. Carlos is likely to be one of the cheapest options available in the summer, and Ed Woodward should closely monitor his situation in Spain.
