2. Saka shows his worth for Arsenal yet again

The name Bukayo Saka has probably cropped up in every article I’ve written so far, and always for a good reason, so there’s no surprise that I’m mentioning him again.

When you’re team lose and aren’t playing as well as their potential, you can tend to pick out individuals who still shine and in this instance, like it is with every game, Bukayo Saka was one of Arsenal’s star men on the pitch.

He always puts 110% effort into his game and it always shows, whatever the scoreline is and whoever the opponent, and today you could tell he was really trying to get the ball forward and find the spaces to pass the ball to the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette when he was subbed on later on in the game.

He had a pass accuracy of 83% and completed 29 accurate passes, more of them being in the opposition’s box and against a side that looked to punish the Gunners constantly, he was still able to find passes into pockets of space when the other attacking players found themselves in good positions.

The 20-year old loves taking risks going forward, which is something he has proved can work in Arsenal’s favour, but the players around him weren’t always in the right positions for him to make effective passes into the final third and this is something that cost them today.
