Three things are inevitable in this life; death, taxes and David De Gea being linked with a move away from Manchester United. It seems to be the case every single summer and since the beginning of time. But alas, here we are in 2021 and the Spaniard is still protecting the goal at Old Trafford.
There were debates at the beginning of the season over whether or not he should start for Manchester United, with Dean Henderson returning from his successful loan spell. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stuck with his guns and has started the Spaniard pretty consistently this season, and got great reward for his confidence too.
De Gea is United’s number one, I think that’s pretty safe to say. Solskjaer has a lot of faith in him, as do the fans and his teammates (TOO much faith from the defenders, sometimes, but that’s a story for another day). So, what brings about all this transfer talk?
There will be offers for Manchester United to consider

Well, it’s the level of interest he gets. There is one European supergiant in particular that want to sign him and without even saying their name, I bet you are subconsciously thinking of them anyway. That’s right, Real Madrid; I would say congratulations but unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard Madrid and De Gea mentioned in the same sentence countless times.
But Manchester United have always remained adamant about keeping him, and why wouldn’t they? He is one of their most important players, after all. But this could all change.
According to a report from Football Insider, United will listen to offers for David de Gea. And the most concerning thing about this for fans is that there will be interest, no questions asked. World class goalkeepers available in the transfer market is a rarity, so the super clubs, particularly Real Madrid, will be salivating at the thought.
