Manchester United are not the kind of team that lack confidence. Although they may have been on a decline over the last number of years, they have never once doubted the pull they have as a European superclub. They are still one of the biggest teams in Europe and most certainly in England.
However, they have had to share some of their success in recent times with the blue side of their town, Manchester City. The Citizens have been on the rise, while the Red Devils have been on the fall. One player that is significant of this period in time is Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine has made headlines recently, given his decision to leave Manchester City at the end of the season. It has been a stunning tenure in his career, and he will certainly go down as an Etihad Stadium legend.

But that legend status could all change, if rumours are to be believed. According to a report from the Daily Star, United are among a growing group of clubs that are lining up to try and lure in Sergio Aguero (among those include Chelsea, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain).
Look, there is no denying that Aguero would be an excellent signing for United. He is one of the best strikers in the world and even with age, he continues to provide scintillating performances and is consistently a threat to the goal, United know this all too well.
However, United shouldn’t put all their eggs in this basket. I’m certain they know this already, but it’s highly unlikely Aguero will make this move, especially when there are plenty of other suitors. Aguero loves City, so it would take a lot for him to join their rival club.
Do you think Manchester United stand any chance of signing Aguero?
