Mikel Arteta is a manager that divides opinion. While the general consensus seems to be that Arsenal are playing much better and on the right track under his tutelage, they are still not making progress in the league or statistically.

But the season is far from over and with games still remaining, there are ways Arsenal can finish the season on a high. Here are three possibilities…

1. Finishing in the top six

While Arsenal players such as David Luiz still hold hope that they can finish in the top four, fans shouldn’t be too hopeful of this. I was once an optimistic fan, but I find it’s much less painful to be realistic as an Arsenal fan.

The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League last season, therefore, they should ideally be aiming for more. They currently sit tenth in the table but it’s tight in the middle, therefore, sixth place or above is still within reach. Anything less than this would be a failure of a season, as there’d be no improvement.
