Three strikers shortlisted for Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool are having one of their most forgettable seasons. The defending champions are set to go trophyless this year due to an injury plagued campaign. Fans were extremely disappointed with their owners for not spending enough money in the recent transfer windows and for considering the European Super League proposal.

For the upcoming season the Reds will offload a lot of deadwood players and with that in mind – fans will be curious to see the club invest the money wisely to strengthen their squad.

Signing an out and out striker will be one of their major goals for the upcoming 2021-2022 season. The Reds may or may not qualify for the UEFA Champions League but their sporting director might be busy negotiating a deal with scouted players.

Here are three strikers shortlisted for Liverpool in the summer transfer window:

Erling Haaland

The 20 year-old Norwegian striker has been an incredible goal scoring machine for two years now and he finally might be considering leaving Borussia Dortmund next season.

The German giants would consider cashing in due to the activation of his release clause next year. EPL table toppers Manchester City are already considering Erling Haaland as a potential Sergio Aguero replacement.

Liverpool could be ready to invest up to £140 million, with other European giants, including Real Madrid and FC Bayern Munich, ready to pounce on a deal.

Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspurs superstar Harry Kane is having another lethal year in front of goal after scoring 21 goals and thumping 13 assists in the Premier League so far this season.

But the crisis Spurs are going through might force him to leave the club. The 28-year-old has recently expressed his ambitions to add trophies to his career.

Liverpool might just be a perfect club for the English striker to take his career to another level. He would be able to  compete for major trophies like Premier League and Champions League.

But he might cost up to £80 million for the Reds – who are looking to add competition to their currently aging striker Roberto Firmino.

Donyell Malen

The signature of the 22-year-old Dutch striker might turn out to be the best and most realistic signing for Liverpool next summer.

Donyell Malen has so far scored 17 goals in Eredivisie for PSV Eindhoven. He might cost around £40-50 million – which appears affordable given how the Liverpool owners limit their bigger investments.
