Three Liverpool players that should be sold in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Merseyside giants have really looked like a burned out team this season as Liverpool’s forgettable campaign is close to coming to an end.

It looks clear that they will not hesitate to be active in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Here are three players Liverpool should sell during the summer transfer window:

Divock Origi

The Belgian striker Divock Origi has had an injury hit season – like most the Liverpool players, he seems to be suffering the gegenpressing burnout.

Moving on to another club for around £25-30m would be the perfect choice for the 25-year-old forward – who has been an unsung hero during his up-and-down journey at Anfield.

Origi grabbed a lot of attention two years ago when he exploded from nothing to fire Liverpool to glory. One of the highlights was scoring a late winner against Newcastle United.

Most importantly, he scored a brace against Barcelona in the famous 4-0 comeback to send Liverpool into the Champions League final – where he scored the second in the 87th minute against Tottenham to help the Reds lift their sixth UCL title in 2018-19 edition.

Xherdan Shaqiri

The 29-year-old winger has recently announced his interest in leaving Liverpool in the next summer transfer window.

Xherdan Shaqiri is appreciated for his important contribution in helping the Reds beat Manchester United 3-1 at Anfield and played a crucial role against FC Barcelona with an assist in UCL.

The Swiss international may cost around £20-25m and has been rumored to join either AS Roma or Napoli in Serie A next season.

Joel Matip

Joel Matip joined Liverpool in 2016-17 season and played a crucial role in helping the Reds finish in the top four in his brilliant debut campaign.

The 29-year-old Cameroonian defender has helped Liverpool win the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

But the former Schalke superstar had had an injury plagued career ever since the beginning of 2017-18 season. It’s very unlikely that Liverpool would keep hold of him at the end of the season.

Liverpool is going to secure the Ozan Kabak deal and are rumored to sign another Bundesliga star in defender Ibrahim Konate from RB Leipzig.
