Barcelona set ultimatum to Miralem Pjanic
The midfielder looks to be one-and-done at Barcelona
In order to cut down on their wage bill, president Joan Laporta has to make a lot of tough decisions — most, if not all, are sure to make him unpopular.

According to Sport, the club has issued an ultimatum to the player in order to facilitate a move away. Barcelona has received loan offers from Roma, Juventus and Inter Milan.
However, his wages are a roadblock in getting a deal done. The club would like him to lower his wage demand but he appears unwilling to do so.
Pjanic has made it known that he is only considering a move back to Serie A despite there being some interest from the Premier League. But none of the Italian sides mentioned are willing to take him on with his current wage.
It is also unlikely that if Barcelona find any suitors, he’ll end up featuring much for the Catalan giants.
The Bosnian has been linked with an exit immediately after Ronald Koeman was told by Laporta he would continue on as the manager for next season.
He played very infrequently under the Dutchman and all signs point to the same if he does end up staying. His arrival from Juventus in a strange swap deal for Arthur Melo has not worked out.
As far as Barcelona are concerned, they hope to come to some sort of resolution with the 31-year-old sometime next week.
