The Real Madrid manager shot down the rumor of a potential reunion

Real Madrid has dismissed the possibility of a possible reunion with former club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Carlo Ancelotti took to Twitter where he was full of compliments for the Portuguese star but said he never contemplated signing him and that the club was looking ahead.

According to Marca, the club is not keen on a return as they are solely focused on signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris-Saint Germain. With the arrival of Lionel Messi, some believe the Frenchman wants to leave as he wants to be the main focus. Something he may have lost when PSG signed Messi.

Ronaldo is no longer an untouchable at Juventus as Max Allegri would not stand in the way of a move. The Italian side is close to wrapping up an agreement with Sassuolo for Manuel Locatelli and are interested in a reunion of their own with Barcelona’s Miralem Pjanic.

Finding a suitor for Ronaldo would ease their wage bill.

At the moment, however, there doesn’t appear to be many, if any, offers for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Manchester City has popped up as an option as they continue to struggle to reach a deal with Tottenham for Harry Kane but that option also seems remote.

The transfer market is thin for high earners and with Real Madrid prioritizing Mbappe, signing a 36-year-old to an already aging side makes little sense even if it is Ronaldo.

There are a couple of weeks left until the close of the summer transfer window. If Ronaldo and Juventus’ goal is to part ways, it won’t mean a return to LaLiga or Real Madrid.
