Juventus set to beat Liverpool and Man City in chase for Serie A star

Juventus is set to beat Liverpool and Manchester City in securing the signing of ACF Fioerntina’s star striker Dušan Vlahović.
According to Tuttosport, La Vecchia Signora are the favorites to seal the deal for one of the best forwards in Serie A and are in the driver’s seat to acquire him despite serious interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool FC and Manchester City.
Vlahovic unleashed the beast so to speak and caught everyone’s attention last season with an impressive 21 goals and three assists for relegation-troubled Fiorentina.
The Serbian forward has been lethal for both club and country so far this season. It is no surprise to see big clubs like Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City pushing the deal to secure the signature of the 21 year-old lethal striker.
Juventus might be favorites to seal the deal but Manchester City remain in search of the perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero. Everyone is aware of how the defending champions failed to sign Harry Kane and how a striker seems to be the missing piece for Pep Guardiola.
The Cityzens were willing to sign the Tottenham striker for £150 million but the bid was rejected by Daniel Levy – therefore they’ve now turned their attention to Vlahović.
Meanwhile, Liverpool refused to strengthen their squad despite losing some important players during last year’s injury-plagued season. However, the Merseyside giants might consider signing a clinical striker next summer.
The Reds are currently relying on Diogo Jota to play the “false 9” role, which was famously handled by Roberto Firmino for the past six or so seasons. The Brazilian, who recently turned 30, is still, surprisingly, performing more consistently whenever he gets his chance.
As it stands, Vlahović is valued around £35 million and seems very affordable for Juventus and is considered to be an ideal replacement for departed superstar Cristiano Ronaldo – who reunited with Manchester United.
The Old Lady could beat Liverpool and Manchester City if the deal is sealed quickly. They are likely to offload Alvaro Morata in the process as the Spanish striker is rumored to be surplus to requirements.
Can Vlahović be the perfect solution for Juventus’ goal scoring problems?
