Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has generally kept things under wraps regarding his future. While he was looking to move away from PSG prior to the start of the season, he has neither confirmed nor denied he is leaving at the end of the season.
The consensus seems to be — especially in the Madrid media — that his future points towards Spain and Real Madrid.
His words following PSG’s win against Lorient may be cause for concern for the Spanish giants.
"“I haven’t decided about my future yet. I’m cool,” the striker said after PSG’s emphatic 5-1 win over Lorient on Sunday evening.“I want to take my time because I don’t want to get it wrong. I am thinking about it because there are new elements — lots of things, new parameters.“[There are] a lot of parameters to take in consideration. I’m trying to figure it out with my family so I take the right decision.”Source: ESPN"
To add more fuel to the already rampant speculation, the French forward did not rule out staying at PSG.
Kylian Mbappé tells Prime Video: “I haven't made my choice on the future, everyone knows that. I'm thinking, there are NEW elements and a lot of parameters. If I had made my decision, I would've announced it”. 🚨 #Mbappé

Madrid outlet, Marca, continues to be adamant that Mbappe will be a Real Madrid player come next season.
If one is to take Mbappe’s words at face value, an impending move to Los Blancos may no longer be a certainty.
The Parisian side is not giving up on convincing Mbappe to stay and have already offered to make him the highest paid player in the world. But his decision is unlikely to come down simply to money.
Another tactic they’re reportedly set to try is offering him the captain’s armband, which would mean taking it off Marquinhos.
It’s not yet known whether or not that will have any sort of impact but it’s evident Mbappe wants to win trophies and wants to go where he can achieve that. Mainly, he wants to win the Champions League.
PSG did everything they could to win it by signing a number of players and it still wasn’t enough. That they crumbled against Real Madrid this time around had to have make things even more frustrating.
Mbappe has not closed the door on any possibility. The saga will likely continue into the summer once his contract expires. Then, it’ll be anyone’s guess.
