Transfer News: Two new players on Manchester United target list
Manchester United wants to have a competitive squad again next season and for that reason the English squad is already planning two key moves to Britishize their project.
Liverpool‘s 7-0 win over the Red Devils was an unexpected reality check for Manchester United.
Erik Ten Hag’s team – one of the more regular squads through the first quarter of 2023 – suffered a major reality check and fully realize they still have a long way to go.
The Red Devils will have to take advantage of the summer transfer window, among other things, to allow the Dutch coach to field a substantially improved team, as reported by The Guardian.
Harry Kane is big dream for Manchester United
The serious London newspaper talks about two British options that are of interest to the most successful squad in English football history. Harry Kane is the top target with United hoping to take advantage of the fact that Kane’s contract with Tottenham ends in 2024.
If the England captain does not renew, illusions about his departure will skyrocket, with other big European clubs like Bayern Munich tracking him as well.
The battering ram is not the only name mentioned. In addition, there is talk of other England stars such as Mason Mount. The Guardian points out that Mount would be a much cheaper alternative to that of Jude Bellingham, since the former has been left without a place after all the winter signings at Chelsea.
Manchester United fans should expect a very busy summer, since in addition to potential signings, they will have to solve a few important internal issues, including the renewal of their top figure, Marcus Rashford.
