Dani Ceballos updates his contract situation with Real Madrid

Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos has been making headlines recently due to the status on his contract situation with Real Madrid. According to a recent report by Estadio Deportivo, Ceballos has expressed his desire to return to his former club, Real Betis, and has been in contact with the club to explore the possibility of a future transfer.

Ceballos started his career at Betis before making a move to Real Madrid in 2017. After struggling to secure a spot in the starting lineup, he was loaned out to Arsenal in 2019, where he spent two seasons before returning to Real Madrid.

During the current season, Ceballos has played in 30 games in all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring one goal. However, his contract with the club is set to expire in 2023, and negotiations for a possible extension have been ongoing.

In a recent interview with Estadio Deportivo, Ceballos spoke about his contract situation with Real Madrid, stating that he is focused on finishing the season strong with the club and that negotiations for a contract extension are ongoing.

“I am focused on the present, which is finishing the season strong with Real Madrid,” Ceballos said. “Negotiations for a contract extension are ongoing, but right now, I am focused on giving my all for the team.”

While Ceballos has expressed his desire to return to Betis, he has also made it clear that his priority is to continue playing at the highest level and that he is open to staying with Real Madrid if the right opportunity arises.

“I have always said that I would like to return to Betis at some point, but my priority is to continue playing at the highest level,” Ceballos said. “If the opportunity arises to stay with Real Madrid, I would be open to it.”
