Quest for ‘free’ Kylian Mbappe acquisition: Mission Impossible for Los Blancos?

Real Madrid plotting to acquire Mbappe

Real Madrid have embarked on a mission to re-assert their dominance in the football realm. Los  Merengues have an audacious plan that involves orchestrating a grand spectacle: acquiring a long-desired target – PSG forward Kylian Mbappe without a single penny leaving their coffers. Believe it or not, it is not as implausible as it seems.

Kylian Mbappe, who turns 25 in December, is already a global icon and has secured a World Cup medal in his short yet illustrious career. The Frenchman was a standout performer in last year’s World Cup held in Qatar. He came close to securing a second World Cup medal but was denied by a defiant Messi-led Argentina, who defeated the French in a thrilling penalty shootout at Lusail Stadium.

Having transcended that heart-wrenching defeat, the PSG forward now has pivoted his gaze on the pursuit of personal glory. Clears throat dramatically! The Ballon d’Or stands as a shimmering prize on his path to greatness.

The recently concluded Ballon d’Or ceremony saw Mbappe finish third on the podium with his former club teammate Lionel Messi who bagged the prestigious award for a record 8th time. The PSG  forward congratulated the Argentine on his latest achievement and wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations Leo for the award. You deserve it”.

Mbappe isn’t just eyeing the Ballon d’Or; he’s practically reaching for it with both hands! But, hold on a moment – every superstar needs the perfect stage to elevate their game, right? Enter Real Madrid, the potential spotlight for this French magician’s next-level mastery!

Real Madrid,14-time European Cup winners, though long-time admirers of the PSG superstar have failed to acquire his services. Mbappe himself is said to have shown interest in the Real Madrid project as he understands the true value of representing the Spanish powerhouse.

With Mbappe’s contract set to expire in June 2024, his current club, PSG, has remained steadfast in their decision not to release their star forward, even more so without a transfer fee.

Come the summer of 2024, Real Madrid could well pull off a massive transfer coup – buying one of the best players for simply nothing. Making this move even smoother would be Mbappe signing a pre-contract with Los Blancos in January – a cherry on top, that’s what I would call it if this were to happen.
