It looks like the Premier League is about to lose another experienced player to Brazilian soccer, with Fulham needing to get rid of one of the players who caused the most anticipation last season. Palmeiras, who were beaten by Chelsea in the Club World Cup, have reached an agreement with Fulham in the last few hours according to the latest reports.

Andreas Pereira is now expected by Palmeiras fans in the city of São Paulo in the coming days, marking the midfielder's return to the Brasileirão. The team led by Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira was willing to count on this player since the beginning of the year, with the London team willing to accept a proposal of 20 million euros offered at the time. However, it's worth remembering that Andreas Pereira turned down the offer and tried to stay in the Premier League, but his performance didn't live up to initial expectations.

From the moment Fulham almost made a move for the midfielder in February, Andreas Pereira rose to prominence and made a more positive impact in the final rounds during last season. However, the move in February upset the player, and all offers of an early contract renewal (due to expire in June 2026) were rejected by the midfielder.

Due to his contract coming to an end and the possibility of signing a pre-contract, Andreas Pereira is being sold by Fulham for just 10 million euros, literally half of what Palmeiras were willing to pay in February. The player has not shown much interest in being passed over at Fulham and has opted to play in Brazil, seeking to attract more attention from coach Carlo Ancelotti at one of the top clubs in the Brasileirão with a view to playing in the 2026 World Cup, a tournament for which the Brazilian Team has already qualified.

Andreas Pereira was responsible for an incredible fail in the Libertadores

However, Andreas Pereira will have to overcome a trauma involving his career in Brazil, as his time at Flamengo (the most popular club) was marked by a fatal error that led to Palmeiras' winning goal in the 2021 Libertadores, and he had to leave the Rio de Janeiro team due to the insults and threats he received.
