Barcelona beat Betis 5–3 in Seville, stayed on top of La Liga and showed real attacking power in a match that had a bit of everything: a lightning comeback, a Ferran Torres hat trick, a goal from Roony Bardghji and some unnecessary scares near the end. The win, besides confirming Barça’s growing competitiveness in the league, reinforces a pattern that’s been showing up all season. Even when they fall behind and wobble defensively, this team has been able to respond quickly and turn complicated games into positive results. It happened again at La Cartuja.

A comeback built in just a few minutes

Betis started better and opened the scoring with Antony early on, a play that lit up the stadium and put Barcelona on alert. The answer came almost immediately. Ferran Torres tied it after pouncing on a touch from Koundé inside the box and then flipped the game with a clean volley after a precise long ball from Bardghji. Turning the match around so fast tore apart Betis’s initial plan and gave Barça the control they were looking for.

Bardghji, who had already assisted Ferran, scored the third with a right foot finish, showing the confidence of a young player who’s carving out his place in the squad. The first half still had one more decisive moment. Ferran received the ball at the edge of the box, struck it hard, it took a deflection and went in, completing the forward’s hat trick before halftime. In 45 minutes, Barcelona turned a worrying start into a dominant performance, with four goals built in different ways and key contributions from three young players who keep expanding the team’s attacking options.

Betis reignite the match at the end

The second half began with Barça still in control. In a play that could’ve gone unnoticed, Bartra blocked an attack with his arm and the referee awarded a penalty. Lamine Yamal stepped up calmly and converted, pushing the lead to 5–1. The game seemed settled, with Barcelona moving the ball around, avoiding unnecessary risks and managing the advantage with ease.

Betis, though, didn’t give up. Late in the match, Llorente scored for the hosts and shortly after, Cucho Hernández converted a penalty. The stadium came alive again, creating the feeling that the match could take on dramatic tones, something very familiar in La Liga when the home team finds late energy. Betis even had one more dangerous chance, but couldn’t turn that late push into anything more meaningful.
