The stage is set. Real Madrid vs Barcelona. With Barcelona having a narrow one-point leading going into the final few games of the 2024-2025 La Liga campaign, both teams are looking to clinch the necessary points in the last El Clasico of the season. Barcelona get a huge boost ahead of the match with Alejandro Balde on the bench, returning from injury.

Gotta love a rivalry

In typical Clasico fashion, Barca win a free kick 30 seconds into the match after a foul on Dani Olmo, with Valverde throwing him to the ground. Two minutes in, and it's just bodies flying everywhere. Szczęsny makes a stupid tackle on Mbappe in the box, resulting in a penalty. Mbappe strikes, putting the Los Blancos ahead early. Let's see is Madrid complains about refereeing decisions after this. After a foul on Lamine Yamal, the flag stays down, which sees Mbappe get a second. Madrid 2, Barca 0.

Barcelona are inevitable

Barcelona gets a goal back through Eric Garcia in the 18th minute. Like many games this season, Barca start from behind but are slowly pushing their way back into this title-deciding game. Barcelona aren't giving up. 20 minutes in and already 3 goals have been scored. This rivalry never disappoints. Lamine Yamal scores a banger in the 32nd minute, leveling the score! Ferran Torres gets his second assist of the match. A minute later, Raphinha adds his name to the scoresheet after a blunder from Madrid's defense. A moment of panic for Barca as Mbappe goes down in the box and shouts for a penalty, which is waved away for offsides. Madrid's defense somehow gets worse with Vasquez absolutely fumbling in the box and Raphinha gets his brace.

Closing the gap

After a less exciting start to the second half, Mbappe gets his hat trick in the 69th minute, closing the gap. With 20 plus minutes to go, it's looking like anyone's game. Raphinha has his second miss of the match with a sublime pass from Yamal that he skies in front of goal. After a lengthy VAR check for a handball in the box, no penalty is given and the game remains 4-3 in Barcelona's favor.

Mbappe's offside saga

Mbappe has a clear shot on goal heading into stoppage time, but he's offside. Rewarded with a corner, Tchouaméni heads it into the net, but is ruled offside thanks to Mbappe. Madrid have been offside several times this game.

Last minute winner... or not

A goal for the ages, Fermin takes the ball and runs with it, scoring a banger in the last minute of stoppage time. Unofrtunately, the goal is disallowed due to a handball. Heartbreaking. It doesn't matter, Barca triumphs over Madrid 4-3. The title is just about theirs.
