Al Ittihad suffered an unexpected scare against the Saudi Pro League's bottom team, but Karim Benzema's (former Real Madrid player) side beat Al-Raed 3-1 to officially win the title for the 2024/25 season. In other words, they confirmed their complete domination of the league throughout all the rounds, leaving no room for Al-Hilal or Al Nassr in a possible title race.
As mentioned earlier, Al-Raed surprised us at the start of the game with their aggressive approach and opened the scoring after just nine minutes. Oumar Gouzález took advantage of a loose ball on the edge of the box and went in search of a goal, which is the behavior of a professional team with players who honor their contracts and play seriously in every match.
However, Al Ittihad reacted quickly with a lot of play down the right and soon equalized, after Alobud won a through ball and broke into the penalty area to cross low to Bergwijn, who didn't think twice before shooting firmly and finishing. In this way, the visitors were able to dominate the action with their characteristic attacking style.
Al Ittihad's comeback came in the 41st minute, when Unai Hernández's corner from the left found Danilo Pereira, who deflected in at the far post to make his mark. And as the second half got underway, Laurent Blanc's side showed that they were determined to solve their mission quickly with their opponents' marking lines.
Just two minutes after the break, the champions forced a mistake from their opponents and won the ball back in attack. Bergwijn passed to Albud, who tried to shoot twice to confirm the win. The win took Al Ittihad to 77 points and confirmed their title with two hours to spare.
Al-Hilal fails in bid to win second title in a row

As well as the considerable victory for Karim Benzema's side, the title was also a defeat for Al-Hilal, who sacked coach Jorge Jesus before the end of the season due to a lack of results and performance after the widespread domination seen in 2024/25.
