Brentford have won only one of their last six meetings with Leeds, this a 5-2 demoltion the last time the two sides clashes in the capital.
In fact, the Whites have won only one of 13 encounters with the Bees in West London across the last 75 years, this coming on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign, a result that secured survival.
Brentford vs Leeds preview
Can Leeds United continue their improved form? A fortnight ago, Daniel Farke was staring down the barrel of the sack ahead of the week from hell. However, the Whites' defeat at Manchester City may well prove to be the turning point in their season, changing shape at half time, fighting back to 2-2, denied a famous point at the Etihad by an injury time strike. Four days later though, Elland Road witnessed a thrilling 3-1 victory over Chelsea, with Jaka Bijol and Ao Tanaka on target in the first half, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin punished some horrendous defending to make the points secure.

Then, last Saturday night, Elland Road was rocking once more as Leeds held Premier League champions Liverpool to a draw. After going 2-0 down, quick-fire goals from Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach saw them draw level, only for Liverpool to reclaim their lead, but Tanaka was the hero once more, forcing home a 96th minute equaliser. Nevertheless, despite earning many plaudits, Leeds are still only two points and two places clear of the drop zone, so need to start picking up points in matches just like this, making this a crucial trip to the capital for Farke and his side.
Brentford meantime are only four points better off than their visitors, so do not want to be dragged into the relegation scrap. The Bees' away form continues to be miserable, beaten 2-0 at both Arsenal and then Tottenham in their last two matches. This means Keith Andrews' team have lost seven of their eight away games to date, including each of the last four, their sole win coming at West Ham.

In front of their own supporters though, Brentford remain a different animal. The Bees have collected 16 points out of a possible 21 at the Gtech under Andrews, beaten only by Manchester City in early-October. Since then, they have won three on the spin in West London, most recently overcoming Burnley, thanks to a late double from Igor Thiago, followed by an even later clincher scored by Dango Ouattara. This fixture has been given the marquee Sunday afternoon slot, so will Brentford and Leeds serve up a treat in a match that both are desperate to win?

Brentford team news
Kevin Schade collected his fifth yellow card of the campaign at Tottenham, meaning he is suspended, so Keane Lewis-Potter is the most-likely man to come into the front three.

Elsewhere, Aaron Hickey could return at left-back as a more attacking alternative to Kristoffer Ajer, but Keith Andrews' lineup is largely settled. Centre-back Nathan Collins will sit out next weekend's clash with his former side Wolves if booked.
Brentford predicted lineup vs Leeds United: (4-3-3): Kelleher; Kayode, Collins, van den Berg, Hickey; Henderson, Yarmolyuk, Damsgaard; Ouattara, Lewis-Potter, Thiago.
Brentford player to watch vs Leeds
Igor Thiago has and impressive 11 Premier League goals to his name this season, bagging seven in his last five at the Gtech, so will the Brazilian continue his scoring spree?
Leeds team news
Daniel Farke will stick with the 5-3-2 shape he seemingly stumbled upon during half time at the Etihad with his side 2-0 down to Manchester City, a formation that could transform their survival bid.
Sean Longstaff is sidelined but Ao Tanaka, scorer against both Chelsea and Liverpool, could return to the midfield trio, displacing Ilia Gruev.

In attack, Farke has a plethora of options, but Noah Okafor's display last weekend could see him keep his place, chosen over Brenden Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto, Lukas Nmecha and others.
Leeds United predicted lineup vs Brentford: (5-3-2): Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Stach, Tanaka; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin.
Leeds player to watch vs Brentford
The switch to a front two has reinvigorated Dominic Calvert-Lewin, scoring in three successive Premier League matches for the first time since August 2021. He hasn't done four in a row since October 2020, but can he add to his two goals in three meetings with Brentford?
Brentford vs Leeds prediction
This Sunday afternoon Premier League clash should guarantee goals, but we are backing Brentford to make home advantage count and pick up three important points: Brentford 2-1 Leeds United.
