Everyone had their eyes on what was about to happen at Stamford Bridge, with an epic match between Chelsea and Liverpool leaving the entire Premier League expecting changes in an increasingly fierce table. After an intense first half, the insane second half ended with an unexpected and absolutely special outcome for the Blues with Estevao.

The first half was marked by balanced play until Caicedo's finish, when the Ecuadorian midfielder unleashed a shot from outside the box and scored a great goal to open the scoring for Chelsea in the 13th minute. The Reds seemed lacking in confidence in the early stages of build-up play and less disciplined in their defensive reorganization. Gakpo tried to wake the team up with a great move on his left foot, leaving Szoboszlai in a good position to equalize, but the Hungarian was blocked by Badiashile.

In a first half with few real scoring chances and greater difficulty for the Reds, the Blues were more dangerous throughout, and Garnacho, in the 37th minute, received a pass from Cucurella at the edge of the box and shot low toward the corner, only to see the ball fly dangerously past the post.

Arne Slot tried to improve the quality and creativity of his team's play in the second half by bringing on Wirtz. In his first move, the German played a one-two with Gakpo and delivered a sensational pass to Salah, who shot with his right foot but saw his effort fly wide of the net. Despite this, the Reds continued to struggle to contain their opponents' quick transitions.

The Blues had their chances on the counterattack, but lacked precision in their final passes. It was Liverpool who broke the deadlock when Szoboszlai crossed from the right, Isak controlled the ball beautifully, and Gakpo was on hand to finish. Maresca responded with a triple substitution in attack. Estevao came on down the right, and Gittens made an immediate impact on the other side. In one move, both players appeared: Gittens from the right, Estevao from the other side, and both were denied by spectacular saves from Mamardashvili.

The final push for victory came from the home side, and Enzo Fernández had a chance in the six-yard box when he received a perfect cross from Estevao and hit the crossbar, but the big moment came in stoppage time. Enzo passed the ball to Cucurella in the box, and the Spaniard shot across goal. The Brazilian appeared at the far post, threw himself at the ball, and secured the victory with his first Premier League goal, becoming the second youngest player to score for the Blues in the history of the league.
