Bayern Munich simply does not give in, once again proving that they are Germany's undisputed giant. This is a team that has consistently monopolized the league with such great superiority that only a few have matched in recent years. The 3-0 win against Werder Bremen may seem so easy on paper, but it was different on the pitch. The opponent put up a fight, closed down space, held off Bayern's attack, and delayed the inevitable. But when you have a No. 9 like Harry Kane, no wall is too high to climb.

The predator in the box

And if there is any player in the world who converts struggles into mindboggling stats, then Kane is the man. Just think of the times when he used to carry Tottenham in the Premier League single-handedly by deciding matches with goals and crucial assists. His two goals bring his tally this season to 28, with 21 of those coming in the Bundesliga alone.

The English striker isn't satisfied with any ordinary numbers. In just 19 Bundesliga matches, he has scored more than some teams in the competition. Ironic, because against Bremen, Bayern were only able to finally breathe easier in the final stretch of the second half. Up until that moment, it was a hard, physical match with a well-organized opponent who was betting on patience to frustrate the Bavarians. Then came the Kane factor.

The game that took its time to get going, Bayern did not find it easy to pierce through Bremen's defenses, and the first clear-cut opportunity arrived in the 56th minute with a penalty that Harry Kane coolly dispatched. That was a goal that perhaps should have opened the floodgates, but Bremen remained disciplined, holding on deep into the latter stages. That is when Thomas Tuchel turned to his bench, and Leroy Sané brought the spark Bayern needed. The forward extended the lead with a left-footed finish, a goal that didn't just provide relief, but completely shattered the opponent's resistance. In stoppage time, another penalty-this time drawn by Musiala. And, of course, who else but Kane to step up? He finished with class and sealed the deal.

What does this win mean?

Besides the three points, Bayern stretched the lead over Bayer Leverkusen to eight points, while consolidating their top spot in the Bundesliga. It weighs heavy on the rivals that they have one more game on hand. With every round, Bayern's predominance grows a little bit more. The only thing Leverkusen can do is dream; Bayern keeps on proving, over and over, that the Bundesliga trophy will continue staying in their hands.
