Tottenham have won their last four meetings with Leeds, scoring four in each of the last three, targeting five successive victories in this fixture for the very first time.

Leeds vs Tottenham preview

The last time these two clubs met was on the final day of the 2022/23 season, with Sam Allardyce and Ryan Mason the two managers. Tottenham won 4-1, a result that condemned Leeds to relegation, while Harry Kane scored his final two goals for Spurs. A lot has changed since then.

Come Saturday lunchtime, Tottenham Hotspur will return to West Yorkshire following a gruelling and hectic few weeks. On Tuesday, Spurs ventured back into the Arctic Circle for a Champions League clash with Bodø/Glimt. In truth, Thomas Frank's team were second best throughout, deservedly 2-0 down at Aspmyra, the Norwegian champions having also missed a penalty, only for late goals from Micky van de Ven followed by an own goal to see them pinch an undeserved a point.

Coming from behind has very much been Spurs' calling card in the last fortnight. Two weeks ago, Frank's side also fought back from 2-0 down to draw with Brighton before, last Saturday night, João Palhinha's stoppage time strike salvaged a draw against bottom of the table Wolves at home, still booed off by disgruntled supporters. Despite this inconsistency, Spurs do sit fourth, but this'll be a test of their top four credentials.

Meantime, for Leeds United, every point is priceless, and they have acquitted themselves pretty well since being crowned EFL Championship champions at Plymouth. Last weekend, Daniel Farke's side appeared set to beat Bournemouth at Elland Road, Joe Rodon heading home an equaliser before Sean Longstaff lashed them in front, only for the Cherries to snatch an equaliser in the 93rd minute.

Nevertheless, this point leaves Leeds 12th, having won two, drawn two and lost two so far, enjoying victories over Everton and Wolves, while yet to taste defeat at Elland Road. It would require a bit of an upset for them to maintain that fact, but can they upset Spurs in Saturday's early kick off?

Leeds team news

Karl Darlow will continue to deputise in goal for Lucas Perri, who has a thigh injury, while star winger Wilfried Gnonto is also sidelined due to a calf problem.

So, USMNT international Brenden Aaronson is set to keep his place in attack, with Noah Okafor on the opposite flank, chosen over fit again Dan James. In fact, Daniel Farke could name an unchanged lineup, meaning Ao Tanaka, arguably their best player last season, would once again be on the bench, having not started since the 5-0 mauling at Arsenal.

Leeds United predicted lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur: (4-3-3): Darlow; Bogle, Struijk, Rodon, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Longstaff, Stach; Okafor, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds player to watch vs Tottenham

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal for Leeds during the victory at Molineux a fortnight ago, while he has previously netted three times against Spurs, so can he add to that decent record?

Tottenham team news

Thomas Frank made five changes for the mid-week trip to Norway: Pedro Porro, Kevin Danso, Pape Matar Sarr, Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert those rotated in.

Cristian Romero did not travel to Bodø as a precaution, hence why Danso came into defence, but the Argentine centre-back is expected to be fit for this one. Elsewhere, summer signing Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons both came off the bench on the hour mark in the Champions League, neither yet quite hitting the heights expected when they arrived, but will either or both start this one?

Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup vs Leeds United: (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, van de Ven, Romero, Spence; Palhinha, Bentancur, Bergvall; Kudus, Simons, Richarlison.

Tottenham player to watch vs Leeds

Richarlison has scored 14 goals during his last 19 Premier League starts, although he's never netted in six previous meetings with Leeds, so can he change this fact at Elland Road?

Leeds vs Tottenham prediction

This early kick off on Saturday should be lively and entertaining, but we are backing Spurs to, just about, prevail, their attacking talent likely to prove too strong: Leeds United 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur.
