Rúben Amorim's team endured a nightmare campaign last year, finishing 15th in the Premier League, Manchester United's lowest finish since being relegated in 1974. The Red Devils were then also defeated in the Europa League Final by Tottenham, so do not have any European football this time round.
Matheus Cunha will feature in red for the first time against Leeds in Solna, but he remains the only new recruit so far. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia meantime remain in the proverbial wilderness, so there is plenty for Amorim to do.
