Manchester United continue to go through a major overhaul of their squad after a poor season in the Premier League and in more competitions in the 2024/25 season, with very important signings including the arrival of Matheus Cunha.
On the other hand, the Red Devils are also deciding which players will leave the club before the official start of the next transfer window, in order to make more money for new signings. Below is a list of the players who are leaving Manchester United.
- Rashford: Reports in the last few hours indicate that United have finally decided to end Marcus Rashford's spell at Manchester United. One of the fans' most beloved names in recent years, he lost a lot of space with the arrival of coach Ruben Amorim and ended up on loan at Aston Villa, where he scored just two goals in 10 games. After public criticism from the Portuguese coach, Rashford was no longer motivated to play for United.
- Garnacho: Another player who was important at a certain point in the squad was Alejandro Garnacho, an Argentine striker who arrived with high expectations and made an immediate impact. However, he ended up losing ground as the season progressed and showed a lot of dissatisfaction after the defeat in the UEFA Europa League final.
- Jadon Sancho: He is the third player to be cut from Manchester United's squad in the next few days. The player spent the whole of last season on loan at Chelsea, where he played 31 games during the 2024/25 Premier League season, but it wasn't enough to keep Ruben Amorim happy.
- Antony: Brazilian is in a different situation, as he did extremely well when he was loaned out to Real Betis and quickly became an idol of the local fans. Based in Spain, the Brazilian no longer wanted to know about the possibility of staying with the Red Devils and has spent every day since the end of the season paying tribute to the Betis fans on social media.
- Malacia: Finally, Malacia had very few opportunities in the Premier League and ended up on loan at PSV Eindhoven in February, but his performance wasn't enough to convince Ruben Amorim either.
