Manchester United's 2024/25 season was to leave the fans extremely angry because of the tragic performances in the Premier League and the vexatious performances in the FA Cup and EFL Cup. When they had the chance to save the year with the Europa League final, they were beaten by Tottenham in the decider.

Faced with this catastrophic scenario to mark the worst year in the history of the Red Devils on and off the pitch, the most ideal thing would be to try to enter a quiet period to work towards changes, prioritizing one-off signings to adjust necessary problems in the squad, as well as restructuring the club internally.

However, Manchester United decided to go the other way and ended up playing a friendly against the ASEAN All-Stars, a group of players born in Southeast Asia, in a match played at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. Many fans didn't care for this match, but the final result prevents fans from having a bit of peace.

With a goal scored by Maung Maung Lwin in the 71st minute, Manchester United were unable to react and seek at least a draw in a friendly match that many would surely not have noticed if it hadn't been for the final result. While Chelsea were preparing for a European final against Betis, the Red Devils were suffering yet another embarrassment.

It's important to note that the Red Devils are certainly on tour for financial reasons, but they need to avoid any further disappointments in a season that has already been marked by unforgettable defeats. In addition, important names in the starting line-up such as Casemiro, Onana, Maguire, Dalot, Ugarte, Dorgu, Mainoo and Höjlund were on the pitch from the start.

And as if things couldn't get any worse in this never-ending melancholy season, Manchester United will be back on the pitch this Friday against Hong Kong, needing to win so that their fans can finally rest in peace until the pre-season friendlies.
