Having beaten Newcastle home and away last season, Fulham are seeking three successive top-flight victories in this fixture for the first time since 2007.

Fulham meantime kick off one point and one place below their hosts, looking to get back on track. Last weekend, Marco Silva's side were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal at Craven Cottage, the Gunners breaking the deadlock via a trademark corner, while the hosts could not muster an attempt on target.
There is no shame in narrowly losing to the league leaders, but that is now three straight defeats for the Whites, following back-to-back 3-1 away loses at both Aston Villa and Bournemouth, despite leading on both occasions. Overall, since winning 2-1 at Newcastle on 1 February, the Cottagers have won only three of 11 Premier League away games, failing to do so yet this season, so the Fulham fans venturing north to Tyneside on Saturday will surely be doing so more in hope than expectation.

Eddie Howe is without Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall and Yoane Wissa due to injury, while Lewis Miley, Jacob Ramsey and Jacob Murphy were all rotated into the lineup that battered Benfica.

Meantime however, Antonee Robinson and Saša Lukić remain sidelined, Samu Chukwueze is a doubt and both Joachim Andersen as well as club captain Tom Cairney suffered knocks last weekend.
So, Calvin Bassey will return to defence while, if Cairney is not good to go, Harrison Reed is next in line to come into midfield.
