Coming off a season where they won four titles, Barça Femení isn't resting on their laurels as they immediately improve the squad following the signing of striker Ewa Pajor.
The Polish international signed a three-year deal with the Catalan side after putting an end to her nine-year stay at Wolsfburg.

Barcelona supporters are very familiar with Pajor who scored the opening goal in the Champions League final two seasons ago. A final in which Barcelona rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and claim their second European title.
Pajor has played in four Champions League final but has been on the losing side on all four occasions. Winning the Champions League is a goal of hers but it's not an obsession.
Pajor spent nine seasons at Wolfsburg and while she had time left in her current contract, wanted a new challenge.
"In Wolfsburg I felt very great but I felt also that I wanted and needed a new challenge," Pajor said. "I played finals but unfortunately I didn't win the trophy and of course the Champions League is something special, something I want to win but it's not my obsession."

On paper, Pajor will take over from Mariona Caldentey who announced she was not signing a new contract. However, the two are very different players and likely won't have the same responsibilities. Mariona was more of a false nine whereas Pajor is more an out and out striker.
One can argue Pajor is taking over from the vacancy left behind following the departures of Geyse Ferreira and Asisat Oshoala.
The hope is won't take Pajor long to acclimate to her new club and teammates. Especially considering she'll be reuniting with some familiar faces in Fridolina Rolfo, Ingrid Engen and Caroline Graham Hansen.

In her time with Wolfsburg, Pajor scored 136 goals in 196 matches, including 18 in the Champions League. In her last season with the German side, she finished the season as the league's top scorer. Barcelona hope she'll be able to transfer her success to the Liga F as the club hope to repeat the success of last season.
