Four different goal scorers scored for Barcelona as the Catalan side had a rare "easy" win in a 4-0 rout of Getafe.

Raphinha scored the opener after a ball over the top from Jules Kounde. The Brazilian timed his run perfectly and calmly finished past the Getafe goalkeeper to put Barcelona ahead.

It was a frustrating game for Raphinha despite scoring the opener because he was put on goal again on two separate occasions. The first time, he was practically one-on-one against David Soria only to sky it. The second time, he could have gone for goal but decided to lay it off to Joao Felix. Unfortunately, he delivered an errant pass, nullifying the threat.

Missing chances has been one of Barcelona's issues. It certainly was the case midweek against Napoli. The Barcelona faithful were hoping those missed chances wouldn't come back to haunt them.

Fortunately for them, and for Xavi Hernandez, they didn't.

Barcelona finally doubled their lead in the 53rd minute.

Raphinha spotted the run of Andreas Christensen and this time connected on his pass. Christensen then picked out Felix who only needed to tap it in to double the lead.

Barcelona put the match to bed in the 61st minute. With Frenkie de Jong running in attack, he passed to Ilkay Gundogan who did the same to Raphinha. With the goalie coming out, he tried to sidestep Soria. With little wiggle room he laid it off to De Jong who placed it in the back of the net for the third.

De Jong was one of the best players on the pitch against Getafe and that goal must have felt just a little bit sweeter given the rumors swirling about his future and then hitting back in the press conference prior to the Napoli match.

The cherry on top was put there by Fermin Lopez who pounced on a rebound after Vitor Roque's shot was saved by the keeper.

All in all, it was a rather straightforward win for Barcelona. A type of win that have been all too rare this season and kept a clean sheet in the process. Furthermore, with Ronald Araujo, Joao Cancelo, Oriol Romeu and Robert Lewandowski only a yellow card away from suspension, all four were able to avoid a booking and will be available for their next match on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao.

"It was a very complete game. We were able to attack the spaces several times and that's where the goals came from. We were able to come out of their high press," Xavi said after the match.

With the win, Barcelona leap over Girona for second place and pull within five points of Real Madrid. Madrid host Sevilla on Sunday while Girona host Rayo Vallecano on Monday. Things can certainly change but all Barcelona can do now is continue to pile on wins and place the pressure on both Girona and Madrid.
