Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad and become the first men's team to win four straight Premier League title.
Phil Foden kicked off the festivities nice and early as he scored City's opener only two minutes in to the match.
Foden scored his second sixteen minutes to double City's lead and all but seal another Premier League title.
Or so it would seem.
That's because in the 43rd minute, Mohammed Kudus scored a wonderful bicycle kick to pull West Ham to within one.
It was the Hammers who finished the half strong, silencing the Etihad crowd as what seemed like a straight forward win, perhaps leading to a rout, became anything but.
City went into the dressing room undoubtedly lamenting their missed chances. City created quite a few goal scoring opportunites and should have been ahead by a couple of more before Kudus' tally.
With some new found sense of belief, West Ham managed to gain more control of the ball and City were no longer creating chances at will.
But those nerves, if there were any, were whisked away in the 59th minutes as Rodri, who always seems to score when his team needs it the most, scored City's third to essentially seal the victory for Pep Guardiola's side.
City continued to try to increase their lead but either through more poor finishing or last-ditch defending from West Ham, they were unable to do so.
Whether they won by one, two or four, all that mattered for Manchester City and their supporters was pulling out the win.
The Cityzens were also helped out by the fact Everton took the lead in their match against Arsenal, forcing the Gunners to play catch-up. While they were able to get the equalizer and a late winner, it ended up being too little, too late.
Manchester City had their destiny in their own hands after the win against Tottenham. They controlled their fate and made it count.
In what is widely considered the best league in the world, Manchester City made history by becoming the first men's team to win four straight Premier League titles. They've made the difficult look routine at times and are deserved champions.
