Manchester United faced yet another disappointing season under Erik Ten Haag, finishing eighth in the Premier League, below the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
While a few youngsters like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho managed to turn up in crucial times, most of United's star power failed to perform throughout the season.
On the other hand, after being the face of Paris Saint-Germain for almost six years, Kylian Mbappe finally decided to move on, joining Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Now, the Parisians face a critical season where they must replace the France forward and learn to flourish without him.
PSG looking at Manchester United to replenish attacking arsenal
As per a recent report by talkSPORT, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The England Striker had an extremely disappointing season, managing to score a meagre 8 goals and setting up 5 goals in a total of 43 outings throughout the season.
Rashford's poor form resulted in him being dropped from the England squad for the Euro 2024. Newcastle youngster Anthony Gordon and Chelsea winger Cole Palmer were preferred over Rashford by England coach Gareth Southgate. Even Kobbie Mainoo managed to make his place in the England squad ahead of the 26-year-old striker.
Paris Saint-Germain, however, believe that under Luis Enrique, Rashford may be able to regain his lost form and might even turn out to be the Mbappe replacement they are looking for.
As for Manchester United, the Red Devils may consider selling off Rashford to secure some much needed funds for their transformation project.
While PSG were also reportedly looking at Kvicha Kvaratskhelia to fill in the left wing, the transfer won't really be possible as per Fabrizio Romano. The transfer specialist noted that Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis met up with the Georgian starlet in Germany and is ready to offer him a new contract after the end of the Euro 2024. As of now, Rashford seems like a decent option for the Parisians to pursue.
