Tottenham secured a big win in the Premier League on Sunday, dominating the Merseyside Derby against Everton with a 3-0 victory to climb the table, while Arsenal took advantage of their direct rivals' slip-up to extend their lead at the top.

Tottenham were dominant in their away performance, securing the win with all three goals coming from headers following set-pieces (corners). Micky van de Ven was the unlikely hero, heading in the first two goals just before halftime.

Everton matched Spurs in open play for large parts of the game but lacked a clinical edge in the final third. Tottenham's defense, and particularly goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, held firm to secure the clean sheet. Substitute Pape Matar Sarr sealed the victory with a late third header. This win saw Tottenham rise to third in the league table.

Arsenal dominated possession but struggled to break down a well-organized Crystal Palace defense, who often set up in a defensive 5-4-1 formation. The breakthrough came just before halftime from a free-kick delivered by Declan Rice, which Eze volleyed home.

Gunners had chances to extend the lead in the second half, notably a Gabriel header hitting the crossbar and a follow-up from Rice being saved. Palace offered little threat, but the one-goal margin kept the tension high until the final whistle. The win saw Arsenal move four points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
