Seattle Sounders walked out of Carson, California, with a statement win, putting four past LA Galaxy without reply. It was a Western Conference clash that had it all for the visitors — two well-taken goals from Danny Musovski, an early own goal by Julian Aude, and a clean finish from Snyder Brunell right at the end. That result keeps Seattle in fourth place on 41 points from 25 games, while Galaxy are stuck at the bottom with only 16 to their name.

Pressure and efficiency right from the start

The first real threat came just before the 20-minute mark. Pedro de la Vega whipped in a ball from the left, finding Jesús Ferreira, who steered his shot just wide of the far post. Ten minutes later, the breakthrough arrived. Again it was De la Vega, this time floating in a cross for Paul Rothrock to chase. Before he could get a proper touch, the ball clipped Julian Aude and rolled into the net for an own goal.

Seattle smelled blood and struck again in the 37th. Rothrock sent Musovski in behind the defense, Mićović blocked the initial shot, but the forward reacted quickest to bury the rebound. Ferreira nearly made it three before halftime after latching onto a long pass, yet Mićović kept his team in it with another stop.

Big saves and full control to the finish

Galaxy tried to show some fight after the break. In the 48th minute, Matheus Nascimento broke through the middle but Andrew Thomas stood firm. Moments later, Gabriel Pec tested him from a tight angle, only for the Sounders keeper to block again. That brief push from the hosts didn’t last long. Just before the hour, De la Vega slipped the ball to Jesús Ferreira, whose strike forced another save from Mićović.

Once again, Musovski was on hand to clean up the rebound and make it three. Rothrock came close to adding another in the 74th, his effort smashing off the crossbar. The fourth and final goal came with five minutes left in regulation. Kalani Kossa-Rienzi found Alex Roldan on the right, Roldan drilled a low pass into the box, and Snyder Brunell met it first-time to cap off the night.
